A new school year is upon us, and teachers, students, and administrators are filling our hallways and classrooms.

This is far from my first year as an educator and superintendent; it is, however, my one and only at Reynoldsburg City Schools as Acting Superintendent.

I am honored to have been asked by the school board to lead this year and carry forward the mission, vision, and values of such an influential district of brilliant leaders and students. Thank you for your warm welcome and I look forward to meeting other students, staff and families soon.

There is no doubt that this year will be another promising year. The brilliant and expert staff in each of our buildings, the dedicated and motivated Board of Trustees, and the supportive and involved families of our students are what make the Reynoldsburg experience remarkable.

We continue to focus on students and foster relationships. RCS will continue to work on the five-year strategic plan in place, align our resources for maximum impact where it matters most, and build on the District’s momentum for student success and personal growth.

It is important that our families, community partners and residents also have a clear vision of our work as a district and plenty of opportunities to engage. Trust and transparency between our district, our school board and our community will be the hallmark of our year together.

Public education touches every resident, business and organization in our city. Our schools provide essential services beyond education, our buildings act as a hub of activity, and our students will become employees, business owners, and residents themselves.

Whether or not you have students enrolled in RCS, what happens in our school district affects you as a resident of Reynoldsburg. And we want you to be as involved as you want because you too have a voice to share.

As we settle into the new school year, we will be sharing invitations to attend community meetings with myself and members of the school board and administrative team. We will be gathering feedback on the search for superintendents slated to begin in 2023 and the future direction of the district.

Thank you in advance for your support of our students, staff and schools. I am confident that this year will be full of new experiences, bright moments and fulfilling endeavors.

RCS is ready and prepared. Our schools are filled with passionate educators. Together we are #REYNProud!
