BISMARCK, ND (KFYR) – The Krinke family has operated a farm in North Dakota for 115 years. Soon they will be auctioning their collection of classic cars and memorabilia.

Neil Krinke, his wife Rosalie and their three sons are avid farmers, but another passion of Neil is restoring and collecting old cars and trucks.

The huge collection includes model cars and trucks, award-winning restorations and classic collectible gas pumps as well as automotive industrial panels to go with them.

Some of his favorite parts include this 1954 Chevrolet pickup. His wife Rosalie gave it to him for their wedding anniversary. She said: “I wanted it to be a surprise for her 80th birthday. So in 1954, that’s the year that was made, and that was the year we got married. So, it’s a bit special for us.

The coins not only tell a story of Neil Krinke and his family, and their passion for DIY and car restoration, but the coins also tell a bit of history.

“Part of it was to show the kids what it was like back then, the kids. We think it’s very important, to help, to keep a bit of history, ”explained Neil.

The auction will take place on Saturday, September 18 at 9:30 a.m. MDT in Scranton, North Dakota.
