There are less than two weeks until Season 2 of Infinite Halo drops, and even more content is coming than everyone initially thought.

On Thursday, 343 Industries announced via Halo Waypoint that three more modes are coming Infinite Halo Season 2 – Land Grab, King of the Hill and Last Spartan Standing. Land Grab involves teams capturing neutral areas on the map (territories, for you old-school fans), while King of the Hill is a tried-and-true series staple where you control rotating capture points. Anyone who has dived for many hours in the original Halo trilogy will know the latter.

Last Spartan Standing is something new for Halo, but. 12 players appear on one of the largest maps for ever tighter free play. Each person has five respawns and weapon upgrades are available after killing an enemy combatant. It’s more or less a little battle royale mode, kind of like Apex Legends or Call of Duty: Warzone.

There is also a new trailer for Infinite Halo Season 2 for your viewing pleasure below.

It doesn’t seem like Last Spartan Standing is the rumor Infinite Halo battle royale mode on which Certain Affinity allegedly works. Curiously, the Halo Waypoint The blog update mentioned above doesn’t once use the words “battle royale” to describe Last Spartan Standing, even though there’s a shrinking circle and all. That doesn’t necessarily mean much, but it’s still worth noting.
