DUNSEITH – The International Peace Garden will host a last chance preview of its cacti and succulents collection on June 12. This one-of-a-kind collection will be on display for the next 11 months as the garden undertakes a major construction and renovation project. which will require the temporary relocation of the collection.

The preview will take place from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Visitors can meet horticulturalists about the collection, see a first public preview of architectural renderings of new plans for the expanded conservatory, and hear about future plans for the Garden. Peace.

The event is casual and guests are welcome to come and go at any time during the event. Visitors will be treated to light refreshments, and beer and wine will be available for purchase. The event is free, but entrance fees still apply.

The Cacti & Succulent collection was donated in 2010 by Don Vitko, longtime resident of Minot. The collection includes over 5,000 unique species, making it one of the largest collections of unique species in the world. The months of April, May and June offer visitors an array of daily blooms of these unique dryland plants.
