On one epic final day, Manchester City claimed their fourth Premier League title in five years with a 3-2 win over AstonVilla.
Pep Guardiola’s side trailed 2-0 at the Etihad Stadium but rallied in the second half to score three invaluable goals.
A brace from Ilkay Gundogan and a strike from Rodri was enough for City to finish a single point above Liverpool in the table.
It was disappointing for Jurgen Klopp’s side, however, there were still positive vibes at Anfield on Sunday thanks to the side’s 3-1 victory over Wanderers of Wolverhampton.
Liverpool fell behind early on a counter-attacking goal from Pedro Neto, but Sadio Mane, Mohammad Salah and Andrew Robertson ensured the team retired with a victory.
Salah’s goal which made it 2-1 that day was his 23rd of the Premier League campaign, which saw him share the Golden Boot award with Tottenham Hotspurby Heung-min Son.
Liverpool’s Egyptian King also finished with the most assists and thus won the Playmaker of the Season award.
However, Salah didn’t exactly look too happy when collecting the accolades.
The winger was clearly still annoyed that City beat Liverpool for the title and he barely smiled as a result.
